Adventures on Whidbey Island

Spring Break 2015
March 28-April 3
Anderson's home in Washington State

For Spring Break, we went to visit Jewels and Eric in Washington.  Thanks to Arthur's frequent flyer miles, we got to fly up to Seattle for free!  Bennett LOVED going on a "bid, bid blue airplane!"  (Big, big blue airplane.) And the pilot even let the him and Hayden have a turn sitting in the co-pilot's chair while we were stopped over in Oakland.

Jewels and Eric live on Whidbey Island.  It was beautiful!  This was my view on a morning walk.

Arthur took the three oldest to the Boeing Factory, where they make airplanes.  For obvious reasons, it is the biggest building in the world!  I'm so glad that Arthur is balancing out our kids with cool sciency stuff.  (He wants to make sure they don't all try to make a living on Broadway when they grow up.  I don't recommend that either, for the record.  Not that I've tried it, but you know. . .)

Deception Point State Park

A really cool bridge

Me standing on the really cool bridge

We went on a beautiful hike at Deception Point, but my camera battery died on the second picture I took so all we had were phone pics.  So sad since we saw 3 bald eagles that day!  And my phone doesn't zoom in far enough!!!

A bunch of us under the really cool bridge.

While showing me this ball of moss, Hayden said, "Mom! This is a growing place!"

Arthur got this amazing shot with his phone.  Yep, that's a bald eagle!  So cool to see one in the wild!

Fort Casey State Park

From the ocean, you would never know there was a fort with massive cannons hiding in this grass!

A lovely lighthouse.  I love lighthouses.

Eggs and Easter

It's July and I'm just posting these Easter pics.  Not sure how I missed them, but here are pictures of eggs and Easter and spring flowers.
